Cake smash time!!
I recently did the photos for Amelie's 1st birthday, and Amelie's mum Katie came up with the idea of a Cake Smash photo shoot.
We, together decided to gather ideas from Pinterest and create a mood board where we could put our ideas, from these Katie chose, organised and purchase all the props to her taste for the photo shoot.
We decided to shoot in their house just to keep Amelie in her comfort zone, on the day of the shoot I set my background and build up the set with the props.
It was a fun afternoon, everyone got involved in the shoot (Mum, Dad, Brother and Cousins) and everybody enjoyed it.
Amelie was brilliant throughout the photo session and she must had work very hard for me, because at the end of the shoot she fell fast asleep bless her!
Please enjoy the images of the "Behind The Scene" and some of the final results.

Glorious Food!
At work last week, Chris Harvey http://www.iamharvey.co.uk and myself we practised our skills in doing food photography.
After doing a bit of shopping for food product and props bought from some charity shops in Leeds, we then set the scene for every kind of product.
We used some ready meal from some supermarket to then makes them look very appetising by using a combination of added products.
We're both very please with the results, thank you to Chris for all the guidance and help along the shoot!
It was fun but we also learned that taking photographs of food is not that simple!

Au Revoir Didier!
On Thursday last week I was browsing my images in my hard drive, and I was going back as far as 10 years ago. Then I came across this portrait of my cousin Didier which was taken in July 2010 and decided to convert it in B/W and do a little retouching.
On the Saturday of the same week my brother rings me to tell me that Didier has past away, now I'm not superstitious or anything but this image for me is now symbolic, I'm looking at his smile and the expression of his eyes and you see happiness and joy; the image translate exactly how I remember Didier when we were together, always happy and smily, this is something that everybody can relate to when someone dear to them passes away
"Enjoy life to the full as you never know what's around the corner"
I'm publishing this image now to pay my respect to my cousin Didier.
Au revoir.
Manu.

STUDLEY ROYAL
I had a week off last week for Easter, one of the highlight of it was this walk we had as a family at Studley Royal, I really like the portrait of my wife and Son.

Our Chilling Sunday!
Nice family Sunday, we did a workout of 20min following the Bodycoach's video on "youtube" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q20pLhdoEoY
We followed our day by going for a nice family breakfast at "Christian's Cafe" http://www.christianscafe.co.uk
In the afternoon I did some baking, I made the very healthy "Breakfast bar" by "Nigella Lawson" so yummy.
Here's the photos of my Chilling Sunday!
